About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dairy and General Farm Manager to join our team at Farm Manager SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our farm operations and taking our business to the next level.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve dairy farm productivity and efficiency
  • Manage and maintain high-quality pastures and animal feed systems
  • Supervise and train farm staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Plan and implement crop rotation, weed-and fertilizer programs to optimize soil health and fertility
  • Monitor and control costs associated with farm operations
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years experience in dairy management, pasture management, and calf rearing
  • Ability to AI (artificially inseminate) cattle
  • Pasture experience and knowledge of irrigation systems
  • Computer literacy and ability to use software applications related to farm management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and milk-weekends
Salary Package

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $130,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.
