Job Title: Senior Dealmaker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dealmaker to join our team at TalentCru. As a key member of our deal-making team, you will be responsible for evaluating and presenting applications for funding and structuring deals that contribute to our Strategic Business Unit (SBU) objectives and industry development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and present applications for funding and structure deals that align with our SBU objectives and industry development goals.
  • Perform complex financial and/or technical and/or marketing due diligence functions, including leading a due diligence team and ensuring risk identification and mitigation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive our SBU's strategic objectives, including deal optimization and risk management.
  • Manage and enhance the levels of service and communication to ensure client service excellence.
  • Provide team leadership in transactions during due diligence and manage own development to enhance own competencies.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing in the team and cross-functional areas, and coach and mentor team members.

Requirements:

  • Relevant commercial or technical Honours Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 8-10 years related experience, with 8 years in deal assessment and closing of transactions.
  • Declared competent in three due diligence disciplines (Marketing, Technical, and Financial).
  • Grounded in all three disciplines, with knowledge of financing instruments and ability to understand and review models of proposed financial structures.
  • Experience in peer review, interpretation and analysis of financial statements, and knowledge of the market environment and technology landscape.
