About the Role

Flink Recruitment is seeking a talented Senior Culinary Assistant to join their esteemed culinary team at Hoseki Kitchen on Delaire Graff Estate.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the kitchen team, the successful candidate will assist other chefs in preparing ingredients and supporting the Head Chef and senior chefs. Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring consistency in food preparation according to recipes and standards;

- Assisting with deliveries;

- Conducting daily checks of mis-en-place to maintain freshness and quality standards;

- Maintaining proper rotation of products in chillers to minimize wastage and spoilage;

- Providing exceptional knowledge of menu items, daily features, and promotions;

- Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of work areas, utensils, and equipment;

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:

- A culinary certificate or diploma;

- Previous experience as a Commis Chef in a 5-star restaurant (preferably 1-2 years);

- Availability to work within opening hours, including evenings, public holidays, and weekends;

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

- Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments;

- Attention to detail, productivity, efficiency, self-discipline, and the ability to cope under pressure.
