Job Summary:

You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to drive growth and revenue through partnerships in Africa, with a focus on South Africa. This will involve building and maintaining relationships with key partners, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, enable, and manage a network of resellers, system integrators, and consulting partners across Africa, with a focus on South Africa.
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy in collaboration with Altair's global and regional management teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring they have the necessary capacity, capability, and coverage to deliver results.
  • Oversee partner onboarding, resource utilization, marketing activities, lead distribution, and management.
  • Work with partners to ensure they meet revenue targets and forecast effectively, developing and tracking key performance indicators and conducting quarterly business reviews.
  • Collaborate with the wider global sales, pre-sales, marketing, and partner teams.
  • Attend and support customer-facing activities, including meetings, demos, and events.
  • Stay up-to-date with Altair products, industry trends, and competitive offerings, attending relevant training as directed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Engineering Degree with relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Partner/Channel Manager.
  • 3+ years with proven sales experience in selling engineering software design solutions, simulations, or analysis (CAE).
  • Strong business planning, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a successful background in enterprise value-based selling.
  • Ability to work with South-African companies and fluency in English.
  • Unending enthusiasm to learn and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Enterprise data analytics experience, ideally in a channel role.
  • Ability to work through short or long sales cycles, from transactional to enterprise sales.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and/or other CRM experience.
  • Marketing knowledge will be a great asset.
