Salary: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum

Job Description

A quantity surveyor plays a critical role in the success of our projects. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for property development projects, conducting feasibility studies, cost analysis, and value engineering to ensure financial efficiency.

Additional duties involve managing project costs from inception to completion, including tender evaluations and contract administration. You will also monitor and control project costs, preparing interim valuations, and final account settlements.

Collaboration with the Project Management team is essential to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets. Accurate reports related to financial performance, risk, and progress of projects must be prepared and issued regularly.

Requirements

  • A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (Diploma, Degree or higher).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or property development industry.
  • Proficiency in WinQS software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contract law, and project management principles.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
