About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technology Operations Professional to join our team as an Operations Engineer for one of our clients based in Claremont, Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering successful end-user support, monitoring infrastructure, and implementing best practices guidelines, policies, processes, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing end-user support for business
  • Monitoring all infrastructure as a member of the I&O team
  • IT contact center for business
  • Supporting business with telephony, infrastructure, and connectivity and MS operations
  • Implementing and adhering to best practice guidelines, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Ensuring technical operational efficiency within the business
  • Executing business needs based on identified priorities within the team
  • IT operational monitoring and reporting
  • Identifying, minimizing, and escalating potential IT risks and opportunities in IT operations
  • Ensuring effective business alignment by developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders as part of the I&O team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Matric qualification
  • Relevant IT qualification
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT operations
  • MCSE/MCITP or recognized degree/diploma
  • Microsoft Server 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016 and 2019, DAG
  • Mimecast Email gateway management
  • O365/Azure administration
  • RDS Terminal Services (2016 and 2019)
  • Active Directory (2012, 2016, and 2019)
  • DNS, DHCP, Routing
  • Windows File Server Management (DFS)
  • ITIL v3/4
