Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Insurance Sales Director to lead our sales team at The Legends Agency.

About the Role:

  • This is a dynamic leadership position that requires a strategic thinker who can drive business growth through effective sales strategies, talent management, and process improvement.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the short-term insurance industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sales plans, budgets, and accelerated growth strategies to achieve profitable sales volume of all Momentum Insure products.
  2. Lead and direct the Momentum Insure sales team, motivating and inspiring them to achieve outstanding results.
  3. Ensure effective resourcing, development, performance management, and retention plans are in place for sales team members.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate sales distribution strategic objectives, plans, and operating models.
  5. Establish and maintain effective lead management processes to optimize sales performance.
  6. Manage risk and ensure governance of Momentum Insure sales activities, including compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
  • NQF 5 or equivalent qualification, and/or FAIS credits (minimum 30 credits in short-term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010), or a recognized qualification as per the FSCA qualification list if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010.
  • FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5) and (RE1) for Key Individual.
  • At least 5 years' experience in sales (short-term insurance).
  • At least 3 years' experience in managing staff in a short-term insurance industry.

  • You must be an experienced sales leader with a strong background in short-term insurance.
  • You should have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results.
  • You must be able to develop and implement effective sales strategies, manage risk, and ensure governance of sales activities.

  • A competitive salary of R750,000 - R1,200,000 per annum.
