We are seeking an experienced Spa Head Therapist to join our esteemed team at The Legends Agency in Knysna, South Africa. This luxurious Nature Reserve is renowned for its stunning indigenous forests, pristine landscapes, and breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.

About the Role

This exceptional opportunity involves overseeing the daily operations of our spa, ensuring a tranquil and welcoming environment for our guests. As Spa Head Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic spa treatments, providing personalized consultations, and supervising a team of skilled spa therapists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tailored Treatments: Offer a diverse range of spa treatments, including massages, facials, and body treatments, catering to individual guest needs.
  • Personalized Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations to recommend suitable treatments based on clients' preferences and conditions.
  • Team Supervision: Mentor and supervise a team of spa therapists to ensure consistency with our high standards.
  • Ambiance Maintenance: Ensure a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the spa, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience for each guest.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Uphold stringent cleanliness and hygiene standards in treatment areas and the overall spa facility.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to deliver seamless service and exceed guest expectations.
  • Equipment and Product Management: Maintain well-stocked and functional equipment and products.
  • Ongoing Training: Provide regular training opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document treatments and client preferences.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent English (spoken, written, and comprehension) at a professional level.
  • Computer Literacy: Level 2 proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Certification: Certification in massage therapy or a related spa treatment field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a spa or wellness environment, with a minimum of 2-3 years as a therapist.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in supervising or managing a team of spa therapists is highly advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
