Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care through efficient and friendly telephone services.
  • Accurately document patient information in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Manage the reception-patient journey, including booking, arrival, and payment processes.
  • Direct patients to the appropriate location, services, or professionals.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with POPIA regulations.
  • Ensure the reception area is always neat and tidy.
  • Refer emergency cases to the nurse's station according to protocol.
  • Assist with basic account queries and escalate as necessary.
  • Collect co-payments and account balances according to Intercare policies and procedures.
  • Execute daily cash-up and banking processes.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Previous experience in a customer-focused service environment (e.g., reception) is advantageous.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • GoodX system experience is beneficial.
  • HPCSA registration as a Registered Dental Assistant.
