About the Role

The Santam Shared Services Marketing team is seeking an experienced Assistant Marketing Manager to join their team at their Head Office in Tygervalley, Bellville.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of all marketing activities for the Santam Broker Solutions business that drive awareness and profitable growth, both regionally and in priority segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Marketing Manager in developing and executing marketing strategies and plans.
  • Conduct environmental and competitor regional scanning to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Assist in translating marketing strategies into practical plans that are well executed in the identified priority segments.
  • Liaise with other business units to ensure that initiatives are coordinated to create a shared focus and impact.
  • Liaise with outsourced suppliers and manage integration across suppliers and communication channels.
  • Monitor, track and report on marketing metrics.
  • Closely monitor and track budgets and expense reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
  • At least 5+ years related marketing experience in the financial services and preferably the insurance industry.
  • Proven experience in business development, events, advertising, digital and media industries and related processes.
  • Proven experience in the development of marketing plans and the successful execution thereof.
  • Practical experience in running integrated campaigns that support business growth.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing with excellent copy writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Good at building partnerships and sustainable relationships.
  • Innovative, creative, structured and deadline driven.
  • FAIS qualification would be beneficial (NQF level 4 or 7 credits; RE or KI).
  • Will be required to travel throughout South Africa.
