We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Switchgear Specialist to join our team at AMJ Electrical Services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, testing, and fault-finding on LV, MV, and HV switchgear and associated equipment. They will also be required to retrofit and install new switchgear protection and associated equipment, as well as commissioning and testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical maintenance and testing on LV, MV, and HV switchgear and associated equipment
  • Fault-find on LV, MV, and HV switchgear, protection, and associated equipment
  • Retrofit and install new LV, MV, and HV switchgear protection and associated equipment
  • Commission and test new switchgear installations
  • Read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Have experience in LV and MV jointing and termination
  • Panel wiring, construction, and installation
  • Labour management and team leadership
  • Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
  • Work within agreed codes, law, working practices, and health and safety
  • Dealing and liaising with a wide range of people at all levels
  • Ordering and receiving of materials
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical switchgear maintenance and testing
  • Passed an electrical trade test
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Valid passport
  • Computer literate
  • Experience in working with electrical switchgear
