Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop a high-performing team, while maintaining a deep understanding of the hotel's operations, financials, and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth, improve guest satisfaction, and increase market share.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, providing coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, Marriott International, and local stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor analysis, and market research to inform business decisions.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in hotel operations, sales and marketing, finance, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in leadership roles, with a focus on revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and team development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with owners, Marriott International, and local stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General Manager experience in limited or full-service properties.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
  • Property industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
