As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data centre infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security of our critical systems and services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation: Design and implement data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, backup systems, and virtual servers, to support business growth and continuity.
- Infrastructure Management: Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data centre infrastructure, equipment, and systems, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and fault tolerance.
- System Maintenance and Monitoring: Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and system patches, to keep the data centre infrastructure up-to-date and secure.
- Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Respond to data centre incidents, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions to restore service operations within defined SLAs.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate documentation of data centre configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines, and share knowledge with cross-functional teams.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, and a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in data centre infrastructure management.
- Skills and Certifications: Strong IT/data centre skills and experience, relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent, and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors, and effective problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to issue resolution.
