The role requires exceptional organizational skills, stakeholder engagement, and project structuring expertise. You will need to connect the dots across multiple workstreams, hold people to account, and ensure projects are well managed and clearly communicated. This is a practical, hands-on project management role, involving internal colleagues and external vendors. The role has a strong focus on delivering results and driving outcomes, rather than following a project 'rulebook' for its own sake.

We are looking for candidates with an IT project background, and if you have this but don't tick every other box, we are still keen to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Outcomes: Be an expert in what we are trying to deliver, live and breathe the project, be invested in the outcome and strive to make our vision a reality.
  • Learn about our business, our technology, our processes and dive into the detail where necessary to facilitate progress.
  • Connect the dots within and between projects, uncover and manage dependencies.
  • Boost the forward visibility of problems and increase efficiency by effectively anticipating and resolving roadblocks.
  • Be creative, help find workarounds and solve problems to deliver our goals, seek input from the experts, provide options (with pros and cons) and
  • Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project challenges are addressed in a structured manner, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Balance competing priorities across projects to drive the best business outcomes.
Project Structuring & Administration:
  • Administer projects using the right tools for the situation. This isn't the main purpose of the role, and these tools should add value to our outcomes, rather than being there just because it's a project.
  • Define and tailor project approaches based on scope and complexity, ensuring the right level of governance is applied.
  • Drive projects forward by owning project meetings, from managing invites to leading meetings effectively.
  • Manage appropriate project admin, recording and sharing actions, tracking progress, ensuring accountability.
  • Implement appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid), ensuring they align with business needs.
  • Ensure clarity around project roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
Stakeholder & Communication Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and expectations.
  • Provide clear and regular project status updates to leadership and teams.
  • Manage stakeholder communications effectively, ensuring changes and impacts are well understood.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between business teams, IT teams, and external partners.
