At Wilson Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Transformation & Technology Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our data strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data modelling. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining well-structured data models to support efficient reporting and analytics.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing best practices for managing and storing data securely and efficiently.
  • Working with system providers to optimise in-app reporting capabilities and integrate external data sources where needed.
  • Managing the transition of new data sources into our environment as the business continues its acquisition journey.

We are looking for someone with a balance of technical expertise and business awareness. The ideal candidate will have:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data modelling.
  • Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data visualisation, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with SQL or other query languages for data extraction and transformation.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data integrations to connect different systems and sources.
  • Knowledge of data governance best practices, data cleansing, and data security principles.

Business & Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective data models and reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working with financial and operational data is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, working effectively across different teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset – comfortable working in an evolving and fast-paced environment.
