Job Description

The Cost Accountant role at Lynca Meats is responsible for managing the company's stock control function, ensuring accuracy and completeness of stock takes, and providing variance analysis reporting and improvement recommendations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage complete stock take function, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct stock take planning and post-mortem feedback with relevant departments
  • Ensure stock takes are conducted according to SOP
  • Verify stock takes and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze variances and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Identify areas of risk and improve processes
  • Manage and report on stock aging and write-offs
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • B. Com (Accounting or Financial Management) degree
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in cost accounting in a FMCG/production/manufacturing and/or financial services sector
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Experience with server reporting services report builder
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and data interpretation
