Role Summary

As a dedicated educator, you will be responsible for promoting the general progress and well-being of students in your care, creating a positive learning environment, and motivating students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and present engaging Physical Science and Mathematics lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Establish a nurturing teaching environment that fosters engaged learning and promotes academic excellence.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner, adhering to standards of punctuality, behavior, and work quality, while also ensuring students' homework is completed to a high standard.
  • Evaluate and refine your teaching practice through continuous reflection and professional development.
  • Be open to ongoing personal and school-wide professional development to enhance your teaching skills.
  • Teach additional lessons on two afternoons per week, as required.
  • Produce high-quality resources for students.
  • Respond to parent inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Demonstrate loyalty to all aspects of Reddam House.
  • Attend special events at the discretion of the Head of School.
  • Set and mark exams, as well as other forms of student evaluation.
  • Write report comments.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the School Head or line manager.
Requirements
  • Ability to set clear expectations and challenging goals.
  • Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback.
  • Depth of understanding in the relevant subject area.
  • Ability to assess learning effectiveness.
  • Excellent preparation and planning.
  • Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with students in a school setting.
  • Confidence in using ICT in teaching.
  • College experience.
  • University degree in the relevant subject area.
  • Certified Teaching Status.
  • Right to work in the country.
