Role Summary

To adopt a holistic approach to student care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and classes assigned. Create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and present engaging CAT and IT lessons.
  • Establish a nurturing teaching environment that promotes engaged learning.
  • Behave professionally with regard to punctuality, behavior, standards of work, and students' homework.
  • Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
  • Be open to continuous professional development through personal and school-wide initiatives.
  • Teach extra lessons on two afternoons per week, as required.
  • Produce high-quality resources for students.
  • Respond to parent inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Show loyalty to all aspects of Reddam House.
  • Attend special events at the discretion of the Head of School.
  • Set and mark exams, as well as other forms of student evaluation.
  • Write report comments.
Requirements
  • Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals.
  • Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback.
  • Depth of understanding in the relevant subject area.
  • Ability to judge learning effectiveness.
  • Excellent preparation and planning.
  • Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with students in a school setting.
  • Confidence in using ICT in teaching.
  • College experience.
  • University degree in an appropriate subject.
  • Certified teaching status.
  • Appropriate right to work.
