About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Director to manage our Private School in Gauteng, South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to take overall responsibility for the operation of our esteemed institution.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our school, ensuring seamless operations, and driving growth. This includes managing staff, developing strategies, and maintaining excellent relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall management of the school's operations, including administrative tasks, human resources, and client relations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive growth, improve efficiency, and enhance the student experience.
  • Manage and lead a team of staff members, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Maintain open communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and staff to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.
  • Monitor and control budgets, costs, and stock levels to optimize resource allocation and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly OHSE requirements.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to source high-quality materials and services.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in education or hospitality.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control, and stock management.
  • Knowledge of culinary practices and flair, with the ability to assist with menu development and function design.
  • Familiarity with HR-related matters, staff training, and upskilling.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Salary

R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
