Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a safe environment at Resurgens Orthopaedics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI scans to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Screen patients and other individuals entering the MRI area to ensure safety.
  • Send images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for storage and retrieval.
  • Enter patient information into Resurgens' computer system(s) for accurate record-keeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by MRI management.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing is mandatory.
  • Experience with GE and Siemens magnets is preferred.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills for efficient data entry and system navigation.
  • Excellent patient care skills for providing a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations for maintaining patient confidentiality.

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and talk for extended periods. Occasionally, the employee may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may be required to lift up to 20 pounds and have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee may be exposed to risks of infectious diseases when interacting with patients and family members. The work environment may include wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Privacy and Security Awareness

The employee must remain aware of Resurgens' policies, information security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures for minimizing threats and ensuring the protection of Protected Health Information (PHI). The employee is responsible for reporting incidents to their supervisor or directly to the HIPAA leadership.
