Banqueting Manager Job Description

To ensure the productivity and profitability of the catering outlet, the ideal candidate will provide a professional and quality service at market-related prices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize, plan, and manage all aspects of kitchen production and delivery of quality functions/conferences/events at all catering outlets.
  • Coordinated role to internal and external departments, including advice, support services, consultations, and banqueting requirements management.
  • Manage human resources of designated staff, ensuring effective employee management.
  • Documentation control and management (compliance) to maintain high standards.
  • Financial resource management, including budgeting and monitoring, to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with food, health, and safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality reports in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Education: Minimum M+3, with a National Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management preferred.

Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Internet.

Culinary Skills: Strong culinary knowledge and experience.

Driver's License: Code 08 driver's license required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Banqueting and Food Services Management, with 2 years in Hospitality Management or a customer service role.

Personal Qualities: Dedication to work after hours, excellent time management, and strong prioritization skills.
