Job Title: Support Facilitator for Neurodivergent Individual

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Facilitator for a 17-year-old neurodivergent male. This role requires someone who is patient, kind, and empathetic, with a genuine interest in supporting and engaging with the individual on a personal level.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the individual's unique needs and challenges.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to help the individual feel secure and confident.
  • Ensure predictability and consistency in the individual's daily structure and routine.
  • Support the individual's executive functioning, including planning, problem-solving, and reasoning.
  • Assist with regulation needs, reducing uncertainty and anxiety.
  • Understand and address the individual's physical needs, adapting the environment and support as needed.
  • Assist with ordinary activities, such as dressing, eating, and collecting from school or physical therapy appointments.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in Afrikaans (essential).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable car (essential).
  • Previous experience in a supportive mentorship/facilitator role supporting neurodivergent adults (essential).
  • Previous experience in a caregiver role (desirable).
  • Previous experience in a helping profession (desirable).
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 13:30 - 18:30 (Fridays collect 13:00). Saturday: 08:00 - 18:30.
