We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safari Sales Consultant to join our team at ABC Worldwide. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for handling safari requests from agents, providing accurate information, and ensuring timely responses.

Responsibilities
  • Handle safari requests from agents, including planning, costing, and providing accurate information within the required turnaround time.
  • Proactively respond to agent requests, offering suggestions on itinerary design, routing, logistics, and upselling.
  • Follow booking procedures and complete safari files with all required information.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running of the sales process.
  • Follow up with agents after a safari for feedback and report any errors or issues to your line manager.
  • Provide proactive support to colleagues during peak or leave times.
  • Work towards personal and departmental targets, collaborating with management to achieve these goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in Safari Sales is required, with East African Safari Sales experience being an advantage.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the broader industry sector (hospitality and tourism).
  • Experience in the safari tourism environment, with knowledge of sales systems and travel reservation systems.
  • Excellent sales skills, communication skills, and a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a proactive mindset and a can-do attitude.

Conditions and Hours of Work
  • Work in the Cape Town office from Monday to Friday, with flexible work-from-home arrangements.
  • Be available to work alternative South African public holidays and overtime during peak periods.
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency phone rotation and be willing to travel for work.
