Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Grill Station Manager to join our team at Prospect Staffing SA. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for operating and managing the grill station efficiently, preparing and cooking grilled dishes according to menu specifications, and ensuring timely preparation and delivery of orders.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment. You will have the opportunity to develop new grilled menu items, collaborate with the kitchen team, and contribute to the success of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage the grill station efficiently, ensuring high-quality food production and excellent customer service.
  • Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to menu specifications, maintaining quality standards and presentation.
  • Monitor food items on the grill and adjust cooking times as needed, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Cordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grill area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist in stocking and maintaining inventory of grill station supplies, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new grilled menu items, enhancing our culinary offerings.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Grill Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service establishment.
  • Knowledge of various grilling techniques and cooking methods, including meat, seafood, and vegetable preparation.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple orders simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, facilitating collaboration with colleagues and ensuring seamless communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma is a plus, demonstrating expertise and dedication to the field.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, adapting to changing business demands.
