The Role and Responsibilities

As a Principal, you will be an expert in particular content areas and provide day-to-day leadership of complex client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process. You will team with Partners to ensure on-time delivery that meets or exceeds agreed-upon goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice, your own expertise, and the firm's technical competence.

You will become a trusted advisor to senior clients, with the ability to guide and influence their thinking, and to be viewed as an expert in particular content areas. Oliver Wyman Principals are seen as Partners of the future and are fully engaged in building business through identifying new and expanded opportunities.

You will create exciting and additive intellectual capital through thought leadership and be knowledgeable on a broad range of adjacent topics. You will develop others and build a strong personal brand both within and outside the firm.

Your Attributes and Experience
  • We are seeking high-caliber individuals with 7-10 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm or other similar organizations.
  • You should have in-depth knowledge of Financial Services topics.
  • You should be able to point to projects with tangible impact and upside for the client (revenue, profit).
  • You should have a natural problem-solving mindset.
  • You should have a track record of leading and managing teams, and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environments.
  • You should have strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • You should be able to apply content knowledge, provide thought leadership in project execution, and develop new intellectual capital to support business development activities.
  • You should have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting to senior executives.
  • You should have an undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
  • You should be willing to travel and work fluidly and respectfully with our talented team.
