Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Cost Consultant to join our team at 27M Growth Group. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all construction activities meet the required standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
2. Develop and maintain budgets throughout the project lifecycle, analyzing and reporting on project costs and financial performance.
3. Draft and review contract documents, including terms and conditions, to ensure they align with regulatory requirements and client specifications.
4. Administer contracts and manage changes to scope, cost, and schedule, handling claims and disputes related to contractual issues.
5. Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors, preparing and issuing requests for quotations and tenders, and analyzing bids to recommend contractors or suppliers.
6. Monitor and control project costs to prevent overruns, conducting cost analysis and forecasting, and preparing periodic cost reports and financial statements.
7. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to specifications, measuring and recording quantities of work completed for payment purposes, and identifying and addressing any issues related to cost or quality on site.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation, preparing detailed reports on cost and financial performance for stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and professional registration with SACQSP
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the contracting and consulting environment
- Relevant certifications and registrations, proven track record of projects engaged
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications, familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including engineers, project managers, and contractors, strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to maintaining integrity and ethical standards in all aspects of work.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
