We are seeking an experienced Information Security Leader to join our team in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, with expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and other related technologies. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure information systems, as well as providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure information systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the security and integrity of our information systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, and recommend changes to our security posture as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a technical implementation engineering or similar role.
  • Expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and other network security technologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation

The salary for this position is approximately R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
