">- Making informed decisions on service legitimacy, including scrutiny of quotations and sign-off of services rendered.
- Leading the implementation of building infrastructure backup systems such as generators, UPS (24/7 availability).
- Acting as the primary point of contact for coordination with landlords and representatives.
- Developing and maintaining contracts and business relationships.
- Oversight of maintenance, improvement, and long-term planning development, including major building renovations and rehabilitation projects.
- Maintaining critical spares for Sorter, MHEs, Automation equipment, Scanners, Batteries, Printers, Pack stations related Tools of Trade.
- Preparing information for review and discussion with management and other staff to select vendors.
- Providing leadership and management for facility projects to ensure optimal utilization of space, resources, and safety for all employees.
- Coordinating office and DC area improvements including day-to-day facility operations and critical systems such as automation, general equipment, MHEs, assets electrical, lighting, plumbing, and conference room equipment.
- Performing routine maintenance and repair tasks such as painting walls, replacing light bulbs, installing A/V equipment, etc., as needed.
- Oversight of the administration of contractor work (e.g., janitorial, building contractors, landscaping, gardening).
- Tracking and execution of facility and maintenance expense budgets.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and codes related to facilities including OHSA, ISO, and city ordinances.
- Reconciliation and tracking of third-party invoices and expenses.
- Maintenance of records and vendor documents, such as contracts, service records, and warranty information.
- Ensuring location and employees comply with regulations and working with employees to identify issues and resolve within agreed parameters.
- Maintenance of a presentable facility and property at all times.
- Supervision of sub-contracted staff.
- Management of cleaning/hygiene suppliers and contracts.
- Catering and vending management, including the management and upkeep of Canteen facility.
- Utilities and communication infrastructure.
- Mastery of power systems, IT cabling, basic construction, alarm systems, Gardening Maintenance, etc.
- Handling emergency calls and working odd hours, including weekends and public holidays, if required by the business.
- Support and alignment with DC Operations, Times, Ways of Work, etc.
- Practicing a hands-on approach.
- Execution of Departmental Administration functions as required.
- Performance of any other ad-hoc functions related to the Department.
