Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing the e-commerce operations of NHS National Services Scotland, ensuring the smooth and profitable running of our online business. The successful candidate will oversee the general management and day-to-day operations of the department, as well as undertaking various e-commerce duties such as stock management, listing items on online marketplaces, and providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and enthusiastic individual who can multitask and work independently, with a strong commitment to helping us achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate under the supervision of the Deputy Commerce Manager – Online and Tourism, to ensure maximum effectiveness in achieving income and/or activity targets.
  • Oversight of the day-to-day operations of the department, including management of departmental supply orders and addressing H&S concerns.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to online customers, handling queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Preparation of weekly sales reports to track progress and inform business decisions.
  • Collaboration with the Retail Communications Assistant to promote our e-commerce business through social media content creation and video production.
  • Ensuring the effective listing process on online marketplaces, including item description writing and research.
