Financial Operations Manager

Job Summary
The Segment Finance Head plays a critical role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer by managing the financial operations of a business segment. This includes leading the finance department, providing direction, and financial expertise to drive business segment financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing department budgets, managing the accounting function, ensuring legal compliance, monitoring cash flow, and providing financials for CFO review.
- Collaborating with the finance team to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with business objectives.
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making, and monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Supporting senior management in delivering key initiatives and driving business growth.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping, including administrator and retirement funds.
- Managing reconciliations between operational and accounting systems, as well as balance sheet reconciliations.
- Overseeing year-end, interim, and month-end processes and reporting.
- Leading the external audit process and providing regular feedback to the executive team.
- Developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks through proactive strategies.
- Providing guidance on organizational budgeting and ensuring expenditure remains within budget.
- Managing fund accounting and analysis, as well as general ledger and sub-ledger maintenance.
- Allocating resources and managing cash flows effectively.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive financial performance.
- Leading and managing a team of finance professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial services.
- Developing and implementing cost control measures to improve profitability, and collaborating with product and solutions and operations teams to monitor and control manufacturing costs.
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and developing secure procedures for confidential information.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives and drive financial performance.
