Portfolio Transactions Manager

TalentCru is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Transactions Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the performance of portfolio companies, working closely with our Portfolio Management and Monitoring Teams, and providing strategic, operational, and financial guidance to ensure the success of our investments.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Proactively conduct portfolio reviews across multiple perspectives and initiate or participate in forums for strategic change, driving value creation and monitoring performance in portfolio companies.
- Transaction Management: Assist with leading the transaction process from start to finish, including drafting term sheets, managing the legal documentation process, and closing operational and balance sheet restructure plans of portfolio companies and transactions.
- Financial Analysis: Use and customize financial models to evaluate the potential return on investment and developmental impacts of portfolio companies and on in-portfolio transactions, and work with internal teams and external advisors to evaluate risks and opportunities associated with operational and balance sheet restructures of portfolio companies and with each transaction.
- Strategic Planning: Provide a complimentary oversight on all Business Partners classified within the Top20; and escalated matters, ensuring application of quality control review, and play a hands-on role in the development of solutions on material BPs where the BATS department is responsible.
- Quality Control: Ensure strategic and financial soundness of recommended solutions contained in all submissions to Committees, and provide constructive advice to Associates and Specialists on a range of matters including but not limited to Business Strategy, Business Restructuring and Stabilization, Performance Improvement, Debt Restructuring, Restarts/Recapitalization and alternative capital raising mechanisms/sources.
- Education: Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a relevant commercial or technical honours degree from a reputable institution.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Finance and Corporate Strategy Consulting.
- Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Technical Competencies: Analytical skills, negotiation skills, industry knowledge, interpersonal skills, project management, financial modelling and acumen, investment and portfolio management, business/commercial acumen, formulating strategies and concepts, report writing skills, stakeholder management, problem solving.
- Leadership Competencies: Resilience, decisiveness in execution, people engagement, communication and engagement, diverse stakeholder management, teamwork, innovation, change leadership, strategic thinking, business mindset.
