Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Transactions Manager to join our team at TalentCru. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the performance of portfolio companies, working closely with Portfolio Management and Monitoring Teams, and assisting with strategic, operational, financial structuring, and closing in-portfolio transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with generating innovative ideas for deal sourcing and structuring
  • Develop and implement turnaround strategies and plans for portfolio companies
  • Work with internal teams and external advisors to evaluate risks and opportunities associated with operational and balance sheet restructures
  • Structure and negotiate detailed terms of refinancing deals
  • Assist with leading the transaction process from start to finish
  • Proactively conduct portfolio reviews and initiate or participate in forums for strategic change
  • Stay up to date with market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio companies' management teams, co-investors, and financial institutions
Requirements
  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a relevant commercial or technical honours degree from a reputable institution
  • Relevant Post Graduate qualification such as CA (SA) / MBA or equivalent would be an advantage
  • 8-10 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, and Corporate Strategy Consulting
  • Proven track record in deal sourcing, structuring, and execution
  • Sound knowledge and experience in developing and implementing turnaround strategies and plans
  • Good understanding of different types of security for financial investments
  • Working knowledge of Company, Contract, Taxation, and Insolvency legislation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
