Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agile Transformation Lead to join our team at Nedbank. As a key member of our Agile Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for facilitating the successful implementation of Agile principles and practices across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of Agile methodologies in software development teams to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to teams on Agile principles, practices, and tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and team members.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with Agile implementation and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of Lean and Agile principles and practices across the organization.
  • Provide training and coaching to teams on Agile principles, practices, and tools.
  • Conduct regular retrospectives and facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
  • Advise on possible risk issues and mitigate risks timeously.
  • Ensure all Agile ceremonies are conducted and provide guidance to Product owners.
  • Coordinate required skills for the core team and facilitate retrospective sessions with core team.
  • Support the achievement of business strategy, objectives, and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems, process, services, and solutions are aligned.
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management.
  • Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
  • Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g., operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
  • Establish boundaries, commitment, trust, rapport, and team cohesion by conducting personal conversations with team members.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys, etc.).
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g., Green Strategy).
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
Requirements
  • High standard of personal presentation.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized with an ability to adapt and tackle a wide variety of challenges.
  • Ability to deal with people both within the organization and external customers.
Essential Qualifications
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified as Scrum Master.
  • Certified Scrum Professional.
  • Certificate of completion in Applying Lean Kanban.
Minimum Experience Level

Experience in the relevant Agile role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Agile principles, practices, and theory.
