Job Title: Portfolio Client Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Client Executive to join our team in the Sandton office. As a Portfolio Client Executive, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring claims and underwriting standards are implemented, and facilitating the audit process to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact daily with sales professionals, insurers, administrators, and clients regarding claims, underwriting, and renewals.
  • Ensure claims, underwriting, and technical delivery standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Ensure renewals are done timeously and agreed with insurers within 60 days in advance.
  • Ensure claims rejection is fair and in accordance with the scope of cover.
  • Facilitate the audit process to ensure all gaps for risk are mitigated.
  • Financial reporting, including budget and forecasting.
  • Responsible for financial aspects, including the allocation of commissions with finance to ensure accurate and timeous allocation.
  • Participate in cross-selling and upselling initiatives to assist the team in meeting new and expanded sales targets.
  • Effective retention of clients by building relationships, ensuring SLAs are maintained, and prompt resolution of escalations.
  • Keep abreast with the local insurance markets.
  • Foster sound working relationships with other functional business units, insurers, administrators, and sales.
  • Adhere to all Marsh compliance policies, business practices, and training requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the commercial client service environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in specialist markets, including specialist liability, D&O, and cyber.
  • Relevant formal qualification.
  • Must have RE5, CPD, and be FAIS compliant as per DOFA.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
  • Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Commercial insurance brokerage experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
