Job Title: Training and Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training and Development Coordinator to join our team at SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing training programs, working closely with business units to assess employee development requirements, and maintaining training records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with business units to identify training needs and develop training plans
  • Maintain accurate training records, including trainee lists, schedules, and attendance sheets
  • Book training facilities and ensure professional presentation
  • Prepare and disseminate training materials, including instructional notes and feedback forms
  • Act as a point of contact for vendors and participants
  • Handle accounts receivable and ensure invoices are paid
  • Resolve issues as they arise onsite
  • Submit reports on training activities and results
  • Recommend improvements or new programs
  • Ensure employees and vendors follow established policies
  • Generate and submit legislative training reports as required
Qualifying Experience:
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role
  • Experience dealing with MERSETA will be advantageous
  • Assessor & Moderator Scope with TETA
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Tertiary Education - National Diploma/Degree in Business, HR, Training or related field
  • Organizational Development / project management experience advantageous
  • Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Full knowledge and understanding of Training & related legislation and structures
  • Knowledge and understanding of the following legislation; EE Act, SD Act and OHSA;
  • Ability to converse in English, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa would be an added advantage;
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
