Job Summary:

Project Link is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects by developing and implementing project control processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Control Processes: Develop and implement project control processes and procedures to ensure project delivery is on track.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress and performance to ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
  • Scheduling and Cost Control: Prepare and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans to ensure accurate project forecasting.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project team members to track and report on project deliverables and provide regular project status updates to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Professional certification in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional), and certification in project controls, such as CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PSP (Project Scheduling Professional).
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project controls, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects in industries such as construction, engineering, oil & gas, or infrastructure.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in leading a project controls team, with direct responsibility for developing and managing schedules, budgets, and project control processes.
  • Software Experience: Strong familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2) and experience working with project management and controls software, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject.

  • Project Scheduling: Expertise in project scheduling and cost control techniques.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and financial management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret project data and provide insights.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure milestones and deliverables are met on time.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a team of project control specialists.
Performance Metrics:
  • Schedule Performance Index (SPI): Maintaining a project SPI of 1 or above to ensure projects are on schedule.
  • Cost Performance Index (CPI): Achieving a CPI of 1 or above to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Earned Value Accuracy: Ensuring that earned value reports accurately reflect project status, with variances below 5%.
  • Forecast Accuracy: Providing accurate project forecasts with variance from actuals of less than 5%.
  • Change Request Management: Monitoring and controlling project scope changes, with less than 10% of changes leading to significant cost or schedule overruns.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Achieving a stakeholder satisfaction rate of 90% or above through regular communication and transparent reporting.
