About This Role

As a Threat Management and Security Engineer II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our security operations team and contribute to our mission of eliminating the back row in education.

Key Responsibilities

As a Threat Management and Security Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

  • Orchestrating the discovery and assessments of vulnerabilities and threats across our global network
  • Working with our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to triage and resolve potential threats and incidents
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to manage and reduce security risks across our critical systems
  • Developing and implementing security solutions to protect our systems and data
  • Providing monitoring and support for our critical cybersecurity systems
  • Performing vulnerability and risk analysis for computer systems and applications
  • Developing reports highlighting risk from threats and recommending changes to controls, policies, or systems
  • Supporting senior leaders and governance teams with the development and improvement of security standards, security controls, and metrics
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4 years of experience in information security systems
  • Expertise in security solutions, pentesting tools, and methodologies
  • Experience with asset discovery, classification, and risk management
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, bash, and PowerShell
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet
  • Experience with network architecture and security controls
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
