About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Solutions Specialist to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our Cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing security solutions based on Emerson's suite of solutions to meet the needs of our customers in the Southern African world area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Cybersecurity technical solutions on projects and customer sites, as well as ongoing site-based maintenance activities once project implementation has concluded.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments on customer's control systems, developing assessment reports and suggesting mitigation/remediation strategies.
  • Review and implement security solutions with customers, ensuring successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement recommended mitigation/remediation strategies & installation, configuration, and tuning of Emerson Cybersecurity solutions.
  • Select and configure required components, ensuring that the offered solutions meet specifications and achieve customer acceptance.
  • Work on current Emerson solutions, including McAfee, Symantec, Acronis, and in-house Emerson offerings.
  • Develop a positive environment in a Cybersecurity Team for work and professional growth.
  • Support Emerson MEA with sales activities as required.
  • Perform customer support activities, including phone support, field service, and remote diagnostics, as well as working with Emerson Field Support Engineers, regional offices, and authority resources as needed to resolve issues.
  • Continually increase technical capabilities, growing and establishing higher levels of expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering - Computer Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in DCS systems and relevant experience towards Cybersecurity.
  • Good understanding of Emerson Distributed Control System requirements and applicable Cybersecurity solutions.
  • Basic qualifications in Networking, CCNA or equivalent.
  • Good familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems and Windows Domains.
  • Experience in Virtualization preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in a formal environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity appliances, applications, tools, and techniques used in DeltaV/Ovation and in other applications.
  • Conversant with DeltaV Networking, DeltaV Virtual Studio, DeltaV Cybersecurity, and antivirus solutions.
  • Possess sophisticated fixing skills (i.e., diagnosing and resolving computer-related issues).
  • Ability to work optimally with internal and external customers.
  • Solid understanding of ISA/IEC 62443 and DeltaV Cybersecurity manual.
  • English written and spoken is required; French language skills will be an added advantage.
  • Recognize and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in Emerson's Company Procedures.
