Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Commercial Insurance Underwriter. As an essential member of our client's team, this individual will be responsible for handling underwriting and claims tasks.

**Responsibilities:

  • Assist with underwriting commercial insurance policies
  • Conduct personal underwriting, marine underwriting, and quotations on new business
  • Process amendments/endorsements on existing policies and assist with renewals
  • Participate in pre-renewal discussions and negotiations, instructing insurers to renew policies
  • Prepare presentations (Power Point) and review loss ratios
  • Review and amend motor values to current values
  • Compile pre-renewal and renewal comparisons for client presentations
  • Capture amendments and renewals on the Ski Host System
  • Process and finalize claims, ensuring all required documentation is received

**Requirements:*

  • Matric minimum 5 years relevant broker industry experience
  • Exchange control knowledge advantageous
  • Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Sound product knowledge, with Marine knowledge advantageous
