Main Objectives- Safety Culture Enhancement: Promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
- Safety Program Implementation: Implement effective safety programs and provide advice on accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.
- Incident Prevention: Lead efforts to prevent incidents, identify causes, and recommend improvements in safety standards.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation concerning plant, equipment, and workplace activities.
- Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure they meet safety regulations.
- PPE Enforcement: Ensure that personal protective equipment is used correctly across the organization.
- Training and Development: Conduct training for management, supervisors, and workers on health and safety practices and legislation.
- Emergency Planning: Coordinate emergency planning, including firefighting, first aid, and other safety protocols.
- Program Evaluation: Frequently evaluate the status of the occupational health and safety program.
- System Improvement: Develop and implement improvements to occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures, and manuals.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, possessing excellent communication and negotiation skills.
