Hire Resolve is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee various construction projects. This role involves leading projects from initiation to completion, including hiring subcontractors, collaborating with vendors, and managing inventory of equipment and materials. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of regulations, permits, and project management methodologies. They should excel in teamwork, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines while staying within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the project scope and objectives.
  • Prepare construction estimates based on material takeoffs (MTO) and ensure accuracy.
  • Create and manage the project budget, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop a comprehensive construction project management plan, including timelines and milestones.
  • Negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors, ensuring fair terms and conditions.
  • Establish a construction schedule with deliverables and milestones, ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and machinery, ensuring optimal utilization.
  • Manage resources, including materials and personnel, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Coordinate resource logistics, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
  • Generate status reports for stakeholders, providing transparent project updates.
  • Oversee the performance of the general contractor, site manager, and construction team, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Obtain necessary building permits and ensure compliance with regulations, ensuring a smooth project journey.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
  • Proficient in project management, including time management, budgeting, and scheduling, with a strong understanding of construction management best practices.

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a strong foundation in construction principles and practices.
  • Solid knowledge of construction management best practices, including safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and tools, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Up-to-date with construction-related rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.

Work Experience:

  • 8 years of project management experience in construction, including specialties such as infrastructure, roads, bridges, transportation, water management, pipelines, and treatment plants, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and schedules, with a strong understanding of cost control and project delivery.
  • Experience overseeing construction sites and leading teams, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong risk management experience in construction projects, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges.
