**Position**: International Duty-Free Travel Retail Project Manager - Store Designs and Installations

**Location**: South Africa (with international travel required)

**Job Summary**:
As the International Duty-Free Travel Retail Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of duty-free travel retail stores across various international locations. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate the construction and installation of these stores, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of design, functionality, and brand representation.

**Responsibilities**:
**Project Management**: Oversee and manage the full lifecycle of international duty-free travel retail store projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

**Collaboration**: Work closely with the local South African team of designers, providing technical support and ensuring that design concepts are translated effectively during the construction phase.

**On-Site Management**: Relocate to the project site during construction periods to provide on-site supervision, manage contractors, and resolve any technical issues that may arise. (When working internationally - 3 weeks on site - 1 week back in SA per month)

**Budget and Resource Management**: Efficiently allocate project resources, including materials, labour, and equipment, to achieve project milestones and financial objectives.

**Quality Control**: Ensure that all construction and installation work adheres to design specifications, industry regulations, and Dakota Design’s quality standards.

**Client Communication**: Maintain regular communication with clients, updating them on project progress, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

**Risk Management**: Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them effectively.

**Vendor and Contractor Coordination**: Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, as well as adherence to project timelines.

**Documentation**: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports

**Requirements**:
**Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

**Experience**:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the retail, construction, or interior design industry, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on an international scale.

**Technical Skills**: Proficiency in project management software, CAD software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.

**Leadership**: Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams to achieve project goals.

**Flexibility**: Willingness to travel internationally frequently and reside on-site during project implementation phases.

**Problem-Solving**: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve project-related challenges in a proactive and effective manner.

**Adaptability**: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
