Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification required, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical) essential, with a focus on electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Professional registration preferred, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • +5 years' electrical engineering experience, preferably in data center projects, with a focus on electrical infrastructure design and delivery.
  • +5 years' experience in a consulting engineering firm, with a focus on project management and client engagement.
  • +2 large-scale (1 megawatt or more) Data Center project design or build experience, with a focus on electrical infrastructure design and delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering for building construction, with a focus on electrical systems and infrastructure components.
  • Strong awareness of industry standards and emerging technologies related to Data Center facilities, with a focus on innovation and growth.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit, and industry-standard electrical modeling software, with a focus on design and delivery.
  • Experience working with MEP engineering consultants, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to think innovatively to find cost-effective solutions, with a focus on value engineering and cost optimization.
  • Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards across the Southern Africa region, with a focus on compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail, with a focus on client engagement and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and travel internationally as needed, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
