Job Summary:

HR Genie is seeking a highly skilled Financial Expert to join our dynamic finance team. As an Accounting Professional, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the operations team in achieving financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Ensure all stipulated financial deadlines are met.

    • Prepare and complete bank reconciliations.

    • Prepare amortization schedules and journals.

    • Conduct general ledger allocations and reconciliations.

    • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to review the Profit & Loss statements, ensuring accurate expense capture and provisions where necessary.

    • Review Fixed Asset reconciliations to ensure all assets are capitalized.

  • Operational Support:

    • Prepare monthly intercompany invoices.

    • Assist in preparing VAT reconciliations and VAT to Turnover reconciliations.

    • Ensure accurate capturing of creditor and ad-hoc payments.

    • Assist with verifying creditors' banking details amendments.

    • Prepare payroll deduction schedules for restaurant staff.

    • Reconcile staff restaurant account spend and monthly top-ups.

    • Assist with weekly operational presentations.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a similar industry.

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
