Express Employment Professionals (Witbank) is currently seeking a skilled Truck Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Ermelo, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics, as well as experience with diagnostic testing and repair procedures. They should also possess excellent communication skills, as they will be interacting with customers and colleagues on a regular basis.

A salary of R120,000 per annum is expected for this role, based on industry standards and the required level of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating work orders to determine the tasks required
  • Preparing work plans to ensure efficient completion of tasks
  • Conducting diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting results
  • Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
  • Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
  • Performing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks
  • Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Valid drivers' license and reliable vehicle
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade certification
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working on commercial vehicles
  • Knowledge and experience with DAF, FAW, PowerStar, UD, Iveco trucks
