Rural Enterprise Development Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rural Enterprise Developer to join our team at the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA). In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic business development mentoring and coaching to emerging entrepreneurs in rural and peri-urban areas.
About the Role
This is a fixed-term contract position that will last for 14 months. As a Rural Enterprise Developer, you will work closely with emerging entrepreneurs to enhance their business skills and knowledge, with the ultimate goal of promoting sustainable economic growth in rural communities.
Main Responsibilities
- Recruit Emerging Entrepreneurs (Ees).
- Cooch 13 Ees on a one-on-one basis on a weekly basis for 15 months.
- Conduct 58 coaching sessions per EE over the 15 months of training:
- Minimum sessions to be coached per month is 36 (for 13 Ees).
- Maximum sessions to be coached per month is 56 (for 13 Ees).
- Contact time with Ees two (2) hours per session.
Requirements
- Matric (NQF Level 4) and National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Business Management/Commerce/Economics.
- Services Seta, New Venture Creation Certification – Level 4 will be an added advantage.
- Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Business Management/Commerce/Economics will be an added advantage.
- South African Citizen or Permanent Residency Holder.
- BESD experience and knowledge an added advantage.
Key Performance Areas
- Effective implementation of the BESD EE Course.
- Implement, co-ordinate and monitor training provision.
- Manage EDP performance.
- Site management and administration.
Additional Requirements
- Previous work experience in coaching and mentoring.
- Good understanding and knowledge of the small enterprise development sector.
