Portfolio Specialist Job Description

At Network Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Portfolio Specialist to oversee and optimize our insurance portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management: Ensure that our insurance portfolios align with business objectives and are performing optimally.
  • Risk Assessment & Underwriting Support: Collaborate with underwriters to assess risks and evaluate coverage needs, ensuring that policies meet the company's risk appetite.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Analyze market trends, industry changes, and emerging risks to drive strategic decision-making and stay ahead of the market.
  • Client & Broker Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and stakeholders to communicate portfolio performance and address client queries.
  • Strategic Planning & Growth: Work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies for expanding and diversifying our portfolio.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance and present findings to internal teams and stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations to optimize portfolio health.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all portfolio management activities adhere to regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to portfolio management and overall company objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, insurance, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum number of years' experience in portfolio management within the insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and insurance products.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in insurance-related software and portfolio management tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in the insurance industry.
