Job Title: Head of Data Integration

At Nedbank, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data Integration to lead our data integration and data warehousing initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient flow of data across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data integration strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and develop a high-performing data integration team.
  • Oversee data quality and consistency, enforcing data standards and quality through data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is used effectively to support business decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, adopting new technologies and ensuring best practices are world-class.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support all regulatory reporting.
  • Unlock the value of Nedbank's data products and drive innovation through data-driven practices.
  • Manage the team effectively, including recruitment, performance management, retention, succession planning, coaching, and talent management.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of overall data architecture to align data integration efforts with the overall IT strategy.
  • Oversee and guide the design and implementation of robust data pipelines for various data sources and the selection and management of data integration tools and platforms.
  • Develop strategies for efficient data integration across the organization.
  • Oversee and prioritize seamless data flow between different systems and applications.
  • Implement real-time data streaming solutions for operational needs.
  • Develop efficient processes to extract data from trusted sources systems.
  • Provide guidance and manage the transformation of data into standardized formats suitable for analysis and reporting.
  • Implement processes for loading data into the data warehouse and enterprise mart and provisioning data to LoB in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Build and manage operational data stores for real-time decision support.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree.
  • 7-10 years of experience in data integration and engineering roles.
  • Experience in managing a team of data professionals.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data integration tools and techniques to drive business value.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
