Job Title: Governance Advisor - Compliance Specialist

Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance frameworks, and industry-related standards.
  • Develop, implement, and review the stakeholder matrix for the secretarial department to ensure effective management of all stakeholders.
  • Manage the budget for the area of responsibility, prepare and obtain approval for the budget once per year, and monitor actual vs. budgeted spend on a monthly basis.
  • Act as Deputy Information Officer, ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) on behalf of the company.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or relevant field.
  • CIS Professional Advanced Qualification: Governance and Administration.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a JSE-listed environment.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, companies act, JSE Listings requirements, King Code requirements, insider trading and share dealings, MOI requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
