About the Role

Australian Regional & Remote Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated First Nations Cultural Specialist to join their team in Alice Springs.

This role will involve working closely with our First Nations team to deliver high-quality care and services to regional and remote communities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote cultural awareness and understanding among our staff and clients.

As a self-starter, you will be proactive and able to work independently. You will be comfortable working on a full-time or part-time basis and able to commit to a set roster of shifts and hours. Some travel across the Northern Territory may be required for this role.

We are looking for someone who identifies or has a close cultural connection with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. Ideally, you will have knowledge of local traditions and be able to communicate effectively with our community.

Skills and qualifications

  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the cultural requirements of indigenous people and their families.
